Recently founded by talented winemakers Jascha Oldham-Selak and Sanne Witteveen, Vilaura are exclusive sparkling specialists through and through. Vilaura (a merging of the words Villa and Aura) translates to 'house of energy' and this impressive expression sure reflects this. They have recently been recognised among Viva’s Top 50 Wineries of New Zealand, cementing their place as a rising star in the local wine scene.

Pale golden in colour with aromas of toasted oats, rock melon and nuances of tropical fruits leading to a warm honeycomb finish in the glass. 36 months bottle aging on yeast lees give it a lovely yeasty characteristic with a fine acid backbone leading to a complex mineral finish. Extra Brut in style, this very dry methode traditionelle is best enjoyed as an aperitif or to accompany an entree course.

Sam Kim, Wine Orbit writes "This is reminiscent of a very fine blanc de blancs Champagne; it's seductively expressed on the nose, showing crunchy apple, nectarine, lemon peel, almond meal, and brioche nuances, followed by a concentrated palate displaying brilliant focus combined with beautifully pitched acidity, finishing impressively long and engaging. Crisp, dry and mouthwatering with richly textured mouthfeel."

Freight is $49.99 per case of 12 (or part case).
N.B. Deliveries to Great Barrier Island must be collected from the wharf (No deliveries to individual addresses)

As long as we receive your order before 2.00pm, in most cases your order will be delivered in one - two days if you live in mainland non-rural North Island. Friday orders will be delivered the following Monday. Rural or South Island deliveries take a day or two longer.
