With a name like Pastafarian, you can probably guess exactly what this wine wants you to eat with it.

The wonderfully unconventional crew at Unico Zelo have turned their attention to Sangiovese, sourced from South Australia’s Clare Valley. It’s a variety practically built for the dinner table, and this is Unico Zelo’s typically bright, energetic take on it — less heavy, brooding red and more juicy, fresh and incredibly easy to get along with.

There’s plenty of ripe red and dark fruit, a lovely floral lift and that savoury, gently spicy edge that makes Sangiovese such a brilliant food wine. Fresh acidity keeps everything lively while the tannins stay nicely in check. In other words, it has pizza and pasta night written all over it.

A great bottle for anyone who likes their reds with plenty of personality but without the weight. Get the tomato sauce bubbling, grate an irresponsible amount of parmesan and away you go.

Juicy raspberry and blackberry meet ripe cherry and violet, with a savoury lick of spice underneath. Bright, fresh acidity and fine tannins keep things wonderfully lively, finishing dry, crunchy and seriously moreish.

Freight is $49.99 per case of 12 (or part case).
N.B. Deliveries to Great Barrier Island must be collected from the wharf (No deliveries to individual addresses)

As long as we receive your order before 2.00pm, in most cases your order will be delivered in one - two days if you live in mainland non-rural North Island. Friday orders will be delivered the following Monday. Rural or South Island deliveries take a day or two longer.
