Crafted by acclaimed Hawke's Bay winemaker Rod McDonald and hailing from the exceptional 2020 vintage, this 5* 93pt Merlot Cabernets blend is a seriously good glass of wine. And when we heard that the much-loved Te Awanga Estate label was moving in a different direction, we knew we had to go long and secure the final stock of this delicious red before it's discontinued by the winery. With succulent blackcurrant and cherry flavours and some herbal complexity, this elegant red blend is all class. Whilst drinking excellently now, it can easily cellar for a further 5-10 years. Don't hesitate on this one - it's time to go long whilst stocks last. If you snooze, you will most definitely lose.

Sam Kim, Wine Orbit writes "Stylish and elegantly composed, the wine shows blackcurrant, sweet cherry, thyme and roasted nut aromas on the nose. It's splendidly harmonious and structured on the palate with succulent fruit flavours backed by finely infused tannins, finishing persistent and satisfying. At its best: now to 2032."
The winery writes "Rich and crimson in colour, the nose of this wine displays an aroma of currant, cassis and tobacco characters, the palate is full and soft with excellent balance and structure. A wine styled for approachability but will reward with careful cellaring."

Freight is $49.99 per case of 12 (or part case).
N.B. Deliveries to Great Barrier Island must be collected from the wharf (No deliveries to individual addresses)

As long as we receive your order before 2.00pm, in most cases your order will be delivered in one - two days if you live in mainland non-rural North Island. Friday orders will be delivered the following Monday. Rural or South Island deliveries take a day or two longer.
