Glorious Central Otago Pinot Noir in the dark fruit spectrum, with real presence and power. Supple, plush and beautifully expressive, this is the complex, earthy style of Pinot that makes Pinot lovers sit back and smile. Wonderful wine.

Ripe black cherry, dark plum and juicy berry fruit lead the way, with layers of savoury spice, dried herbs and subtle earthy characters adding plenty of interest. There’s impressive weight and concentration through the palate, yet it remains silky and beautifully balanced, with fine tannins and fresh acidity carrying everything through to a long, satisfying finish.

There’s plenty of generosity here, but also enough structure and complexity to make you linger over every glass. Give it a little air and enjoy alongside duck, lamb or mushroom dishes – or simply settle in with a decent glass on its own. A seriously impressive Central Otago Pinot with depth, personality and loads of drinking appeal.

The winery writes "On the nose, vivid bursts of raspberry, red rose petal, dark chocolate, black tea, dried earth and peat smoke dance around a brooding core of black and blue berry fruits, evolving with each swirl of the glass. The density of the nose belies the delicate, light-footed precision of the palate – a crisp bead of acidity punctuating the enveloping silkiness of beautifully ripe tannins. Red currants, damson plum, raspberry, damp earth and sweet baking spice all work in perfect harmony, slowly fading to shadows on a tantalisingly bright finish."
