This is opulent, gold medal winning durif from the trusted hands of Johnny Quarisa - a man who knows better than most how to put real flavour into the glass. In our minds, Johnny Quarisa can do no wrong, and this opulent gold medal winning durif is yet another rock solid addition to the Quarisa portfolio. 

Also known as petite sirah, durif has its spiritual home in France where it was primarily used as a blender to flesh out red wines. Nowadays, it has garnered a large following for its deep colour and full-bodied nature. That's what's going on here. Carpone Durif 2020 displays complex flavours of plums and chocolate, and partial aging in American oak gives the wine a lovely vanillin finish. It's bold, glossy and loaded with spice - one of those perfect anytime reds if you're looking for something rewarding but don't want to go down the traditional cabernet or shiraz path. Superb.

The winery writes "Carpone Durif is a deep dark red wine with power and concentration with tones of dark plums, black currants, and chocolate. The wine has barrel character with notes of coffee and vanilla."

Freight is $49.99 per case of 12 (or part case).
N.B. Deliveries to Great Barrier Island must be collected from the wharf (No deliveries to individual addresses)

As long as we receive your order before 2.00pm, in most cases your order will be delivered in one - two days if you live in mainland non-rural North Island. Friday orders will be delivered the following Monday. Rural or South Island deliveries take a day or two longer.
