Peregrine Sauvignon Blanc 2026

Price: $33.99

94/100  'Excellent' | Cameron Douglas MS

Peregrine has earned its place among Central Otago's most respected producers, and this cracking Sauvignon Blanc is another fine example of why. Better known for their outstanding Pinot Noir, Peregrine also knows a thing or two about producing seriously impressive white wines, and this vibrant 2026 release is an absolute beauty.

Fresh, bright and bursting with personality, it delivers a delicious combination of zesty citrus, gooseberry and juicy tropical fruit. Think guava, honeydew melon and a lively twist of kaffir lime, all wrapped up with a lovely mineral edge. The palate is crisp, dry and beautifully balanced, with a subtle salty character and just enough texture to give it real interest. It's refreshing and full of flavour without being overly sharp or aggressive.

Produced from organically grown fruit, this is a Sauvignon Blanc that really lets the quality of the vineyards shine through. If you're after something fresh, flavoursome and a little different from your everyday Sauvignon Blanc, this is well worth getting your hands on. A seriously enjoyable drop from one of Central Otago's finest producers.

Tasting Notes

The winery writes "Elegant citrus, lemongrass and fresh herb lead to a refined, concentrated palate, beautifully balanced with freshness, purity and a crisp dry
finish."

Cameron Douglas MS writes "An excellent bouquet of Central Otago, cool climate, mineral and varietal messages of cape gooseberry and lemon, red apple and white pineapple with a whisper of peach. Some herbaceous messages and floral moments add complexity to the style. A dry wine on the palate, taut and youthful with a backbone of acidity embracing the palate first. When this sensation fades it leaves behind flavours of citrus and soil, dried herbs and cape gooseberry flesh. VG length and finish with best drinking from 2027 through 2033."
