93/100 'Excellent' | Cameron Douglas MS
93/100 | Candice Wine Chat

Only produced when the conditions are standout, the 'Limited Release' wines are a collection of exceptional wines, showcasing expressive minerality, exquisite fruit intensity and finesse. Jeff Clarke (ex Penfolds & Church Road winemaker and two-time International Winemaker of the Year winner) has given the magic touch to this collection of Limited Release wines.

This excellent wine has been a massive favourite with the Advintage Chardonnay Faithful, and it's not hard to see why. Legendary winemaker Jeff Clarke has worked his magic on this Limited Release Chardonnay, delivering a beautifully judged combination of old-school richness and modern freshness. French oak fermentation, malolactic fermentation and regular lees stirring have worked their magic, giving this chardonnay its lovely creamy texture, generous palate weight and delicious layers of complexity. Rich and satisfying, but with plenty of freshness to keep everything beautifully balanced.

If you like your Chardonnay with plenty of flavour, a little oak swagger and a deliciously creamy finish, this will be right up your alley.

Tasting Notes

Sam Kim, Wine Orbit writes "It's wonderfully fruited with stylish complexity, showing ripe peach, rockmelon, nougat, and almond meal nuances. The concentrated palate delivers a creamy texture and beautifully infused acidity, making it flavoursome and harmonious with a lengthy, satisfying finish. At its best: now to 2030."

Cameron Douglas MS writes "A wine of texture and finesse with a satin-cream mouthfeel, flavours of pomaceous fruits, grapefruit and apple , peach and a fine leesy spice quality. The is judiciously place adding complexity and spice, mouthfeel and length. Persistent with medium+ acid line and natural fruit oak sweetness qualities. BEst drinking from day of purchase through 2029+."

Candice Chow writes "An elegant Chardonnay with a bright fruit core, featuring a silky mouthfeel with fine-textured phenolics, and subtle creamy and flinty mineral details."
