Named in honour of winemaker Alan Peters-Oswald’s childhood spent farming Angora goats in the rugged hills of Central Otago, Nanny Goat Vineyards captures the adventurous spirit and wild beauty of the region.

The 2024 Pinot Noir is a richly textured, expressive example of Central Otago winemaking. Fragrant notes of red cherry, wild berries, and subtle spice lead into a palate that’s supple, silky, and beautifully layered. Its natural versatility makes it a standout choice for everything from casual weeknight sipping to more elevated food pairings.

Cameron Douglas MS writes "Classic NG expression with a core of ripe red and dark berry fruits, cherry and dried raspberry, a fine layer of savoury dried herb, layers of soil spice and barrel spice. Firm and dry with an abundance of tannins, polished and distinctive, a backbone of acidity and fruit freshness. Bright, lengthy, varietal and complex, a wine that can be enjoyed today or cellared with best drinking from 2027 through 2035+."
The winery writes "A beautifully perfumed nose packed with wild red and black berry fruits, toasted brown cooking spices and lifted floral notes, layered over a subtle earthy background. The palate is juicy and lively up front, brimming with red cherry, plum, lightly roasted coffee beans and just a hint of sweet baking spice. A streak of fine acidity brightens the mid palate, blending seamlessly with fine powdery tannins to lift the palate towards a satisfying elegant finish."

As long as we receive your order before 2.00pm, in most cases your order will be delivered in one - two days if you live in mainland non-rural North Island. Friday orders will be delivered the following Monday. Rural or South Island deliveries take a day or two longer.
