Viognier has always been a star in the Millton range, and this excellent Clos Samuel release (formerly known as Riverpoint Viogner) is in striking form. Intensely aromatic with apricot, nectarine and orange blossom, there’s an alluring lift of ginger spice and subtle florals in this 2022 release. The palate is generous and textural - ripe stonefruit layered with a gentle savoury thread, yet it never tips into heaviness. It's a typically rewarding viognier from one of New Zealand's masters of this wonderful varietal. 

Delicious now with roast chicken, pork or creamy seafood, and capable of evolving further complexity over the next 5+ years. A compelling addition to any cellar, and a rare chance to secure an iconic single vineyard release while it’s still available.

The winery writes "The fruity aromas of apricot and acacia blossom combine a fullness and luscious satin texture with layers of quenching tannins and salinity from the vineyard’s proximity to the South Pacific Ocean."

N.B. Deliveries to Great Barrier Island must be collected from the wharf (No deliveries to individual addresses)

As long as we receive your order before 2.00pm, in most cases your order will be delivered in one - two days if you live in mainland non-rural North Island. Friday orders will be delivered the following Monday. Rural or South Island deliveries take a day or two longer.
