If ever there was a Barossa Shiraz that defined the term 'Over Achiever', this has to be it. The supercool squat bottles give you a clear signal that there is something special going on here, and this opulent Aussie red ticks every box.

Rich, bold and bursting with generous dark fruit flavours, this is everything we love about great Barossa Shiraz. Think luscious blackberries, ripe plums and dark chocolate, with a lovely lick of spice and beautifully smooth, velvety tannins. There's plenty of power and concentration here, but it's all wrapped up in a wonderfully balanced, approachable style that makes every glass a pleasure.

It's complex and classy enough to enhance a fine dining table – and gluggable enough to enjoy whenever the mood takes you. It really is the duck's nuts. If robust Aussie reds make you a happy camper, you'll never find a safer bet. This is seriously satisfying Shiraz that delivers well beyond expectations, and we reckon you'll be hard-pressed to stop at just one bottle.

Ken Gargett writes "Opaque maroon in colour, there are bold flavours here, ripe and rich, with notes of chocolate, aniseed, dried herbs, kirsch and black fruits. The wine has good direction through to sleek, satiny tannins and a lingering finish. The finish sees the emergence of notes of chocolate and cocoa powder in force. Lots to like here and every reason to believe that it will continue to improve over the next decade."

As long as we receive your order before 2.00pm, in most cases your order will be delivered in one - two days if you live in mainland non-rural North Island. Friday orders will be delivered the following Monday. Rural or South Island deliveries take a day or two longer.
