Fortaleza Reposado Winter Blend 2025 is one of those bottles that tequila lovers get seriously excited about. A limited-release expression from one of Mexico's most cult-followed producers, it takes Fortaleza's beautifully traditional, agave-driven style and gives it an extra layer of richness through some seriously interesting barrel work.

For the 2025 Winter Blend, Fortaleza combines its classic Reposado with tequila matured in French oak casks previously used for Passito di Caluso, a rich Italian dessert wine, alongside Madeira cask influence. The result is a richer, more decadent take on Fortaleza, with the wine casks bringing dried fruit, honey and spice while still leaving plenty of that unmistakable cooked agave character front and centre.

Made in Jalisco using Fortaleza's wonderfully old-school methods – including slow-cooked agave, traditional tahona crushing, open fermentation and copper pot distillation – this is very much a bottle for sipping rather than burying in a Margarita. Rare, ridiculously sought-after and genuinely fascinating in the glass, it's a cracking bottle for the serious tequila drinker or collector.
