Assobio Red is a fresh, easy-drinking Douro red from Esporão’s Quinta dos Murças estate. It’s made from traditional grapes - touriga nacional, tinta roriz, and touriga franca, grown on steep, high-altitude, north-facing vineyards in Covelinhas, where cooling winds help keep everything fresh and balanced.

The style is all about a lighter, more approachable Douro: juicy red fruit, soft structure, and plenty of drinkability. The grapes are carefully harvested and gently handled to keep the fruit bright and clean. Most of the wine is kept in stainless steel, with a small part aged for six months in used French oak, just to add a touch of spice and roundness without taking away from the fruit. The result is smooth, vibrant, and really food-friendly, with red berry flavours, a hint of spice, and a clean, fresh finish. Great with pizza, pasta, grilled meats, or easy weeknight food.

Freight is $49.99 per case of 12 (or part case).
N.B. Deliveries to Great Barrier Island must be collected from the wharf (No deliveries to individual addresses)

As long as we receive your order before 2.00pm, in most cases your order will be delivered in one - two days if you live in mainland non-rural North Island. Friday orders will be delivered the following Monday. Rural or South Island deliveries take a day or two longer.
