As we always say, when noted Italian wine critic Luca Maroni gives a red wine in this price point 98pts, it's time to give us your full attention - and we can say with hand on heart that this opulent primitivo blend was a 'smashed it out the park'  winner when we tried it with the importer in March 2025.

If you like your reds full-bodied, flavour packed and velvet smooth, we are playing your song here - and l'Opera is a chart topping #1 hit. This plush red is primitivo dominant. Small parcels of nero d'avola, syrah & sangiovese add extra spice and luxe mouthfeel to a wine that swaggers with confidence and charm, and this wonderful new discovery is so friendly that it's perfect to enjoy with or without food. Such is the weight and rounded texture that Aussie Shiraz fans will find lots to like here - but those savoury Italian flavour profiles always remain centre stage.

As long as we receive your order before 2.00pm, in most cases your order will be delivered in one - two days if you live in mainland non-rural North Island. Friday orders will be delivered the following Monday. Rural or South Island deliveries take a day or two longer.
