From one of Chablis' most respected family estates, the 2023 Vaillon Premier Cru is a beautifully expressive Chardonnay that captures the purity and precision of this celebrated left-bank vineyard. Sourced from south and south-east facing parcels planted on classic Kimmeridgian limestone soils, the wine combines vibrant fruit with the distinctive mineral character that defines great Chablis.

The bouquet opens with lifted floral notes, fresh citrus, lemon peel and hints of white blossom, layered with subtle flinty minerality. On the palate, lively acidity drives flavours of lemon, orchard fruits and orange pith, while a touch of beeswax and delicate honeyed richness add texture and complexity. The finish is long, saline and beautifully focused, leaving a lasting impression of freshness and finesse.

The nose is vibrant and expressive, offering aromas of lemon zest, green apple, white peach and white flowers, underpinned by classic Chablis flinty minerality. The palate is beautifully poised, combining crisp citrus and orchard fruit flavours with layers of oyster shell, wet stone and a subtle saline character. Fresh acidity provides precision and drive, while the finish is long, elegant and distinctly mineral. A refined Premier Cru Chablis with purity, balance and excellent ageing potential.

As long as we receive your order before 2.00pm, in most cases your order will be delivered in one - two days if you live in mainland non-rural North Island. Friday orders will be delivered the following Monday. Rural or South Island deliveries take a day or two longer.
