This is a very juicy and polished example with beautiful citrus aromatics freshened with an exotic twist of ginger and cinnamon. While filled with flavour, the palate retains structure with the dry finish providing an honest length.

Candice Chow, Raymond Chan Wine Reviews writes "Bright, even, straw-yellow with depth. The nose is voluminous, ripe aromas of melon, pear entwined with pear blossom and a lifting note of spice. Full-bodied, dry to taste, aromas of melon, ripe pear intermixed a hint of grapefruit, unfolding spice and rich floral on the finish. The ripe fruit has balanced acidity to carry the flavours, adorned by cardamon and ginger. Smooth-flowing mouthfeel lends a dry, lengthy finish. This is a smooth and spicy Viognier with ripe melon, pear flavour and balanced, fresh acidity. Match with veal and sweetbread over the next 3-4 years."
The winery writes:"All florals and spice on the nose (as it should be with Viognier). But Daniel's Viognier is unique to his peers with restrained alcohol and no oak aging, making for a more refreshing, cooler style. Make this your wine for Thai take always or an Indian dinner, this Viognier can handle the spice."

As long as we receive your order before 2.00pm, in most cases your order will be delivered in one - two days if you live in mainland non-rural North Island. Friday orders will be delivered the following Monday. Rural or South Island deliveries take a day or two longer.
