This is a great example of Hawke's Bay Syrah. Restrained power and length with plenty of rich dark fruits and spice on the palate. 

The Grand Reserve series is produced only when vintage conditions provide exceptional fruit. Traditional winemaking techniques are used to emphasise texture, structure and complexity, allowing the fruit to take centre stage.

Tasting Notes

Decanter judges write "Capacious blackberry, blueberry and dark plum tucked into a bed of clove and sweet vanilla oak. Lush and generous with a luxuriant meaty texture and lively pepper finish."
The winery writes "A core of dark plum and red and black berry fruits are overlaid with classic Hawkes Bay Syrah floral perfume and exotic warm spice. There are also darker liquorice, mineral and earth notes that bring a serious brooding undertone, while subtle oak brings extra complexity and texture, imparting notes of vanilla, roasted cacao and a hint of smoke. On the palate the wine is medium-full bodied with an impression of sweet fruit and long finish driven by silky tannins and gentle acidity. Well matched to a wide range of full flavoured game and red meat dishes."

Freight is $49.99 per case of 12 (or part case).
N.B. Deliveries to Great Barrier Island must be collected from the wharf (No deliveries to individual addresses)

As long as we receive your order before 2.00pm, in most cases your order will be delivered in one - two days if you live in mainland non-rural North Island. Friday orders will be delivered the following Monday. Rural or South Island deliveries take a day or two longer.
