If you love juicy, chillable reds, this is your bottle. From Portugal's Lisboa region, the Casa Santos Palhette Prontissimo 2023 is like gamay on steroids, and is the perfect aperitif option at only 11% ABV.

Made from a blend of castelão, camarate and fernão pires, this wine follows Portugal’s traditional palhete style, where red and white grapes are fermented together. Castelão brings juicy red-berry fruit and gentle structure, camarate adds bright cherry notes and lift, while the aromatic white variety fernão pires contributes freshness and vibrancy. The result is a light, lively wine with berry and cherry flavours and easy-drinking character.

The distributor writes "This wine is unoaked, has an aromatic profile with notes of red fruits such as strawberry and raspberry. In the mouth it is very elegant, fresh, full of notes of red fruits, soft tannins and balanced acidity. A very pleasant gastronomic palhete wine that can be served at a lower temperature."

As long as we receive your order before 2.00pm, in most cases your order will be delivered in one - two days if you live in mainland non-rural North Island. Friday orders will be delivered the following Monday. Rural or South Island deliveries take a day or two longer.
