Candice Chow, Raymond Chan Wine Reviews writes "Deep ruby-red with a purple hue, even colour throughout. The nose is elegantly expressed with aromas of black plum, blackcurrant, tobacco leaf, leather and an amalgam of spice. Full-bodied, black plum and blackcurrant aromas are vibrant and just right, unfolding tobacco leaf, leather, clove and nutmeg. Fine-grained, firm tannins structure the creamy palate; perfectly balanced acidity enlivens and renders vitality and an extended finish."
The winery writes "The 2021 vintage was sensational. Ripeness arrived in bucket loads with the Gold Label grapes harvested between 23 and 25 Brix. As a result, the 2021 Gold Label Cabernet Merlot is a beast of a wine with blackberry, cigar box, toast, dried herb, and leather flavours all underpinned by a firm alcohol. While this Cabernet Merlot is approachable now, time in the bottle will allow further complexity and subtle flavours to evolve."

As long as we receive your order before 2.00pm, in most cases your order will be delivered in one - two days if you live in mainland non-rural North Island. Friday orders will be delivered the following Monday. Rural or South Island deliveries take a day or two longer.
