Black Stallion Los Carneros Chardonnay 2022 is a fine expression of cool-climate winemaking from California’s celebrated Los Carneros region. This elegant Chardonnay opens with a fragrant bouquet of yellow apple, crème brûlée, and delicate hints of apricot, pear, and toasted oak.

On the palate, vibrant citrus and dried apricot notes unfold seamlessly alongside tropical hints of pineapple. The fruit’s origin in Los Carneros lends a crisp, bright acidity and a lean structural backbone, while select grapes from warmer vineyards contribute richness and a lush, full-bodied character. Oak aging imparts subtle vanilla aromatics, enhancing the wine’s naturally floral perfume and adding depth to its flavour profile. The result is a beautifully balanced Chardonnay with a creamy mid-palate, layers of ripe fruit, and a long, graceful finish.

The distributor writes "The Chardonnay from Black Stallion Estate Winery opens with a bouquet of yellow apple, crème brûlée, and subtle hints of apricot, pear, and oak. On the palate, it reveals tantalising flavours of citrus, dried apricot, and pineapple. Sourced from Los Carneros, this Chardonnay contributes bright acidity, citrusy notes, and a lean backbone to the blend, while the grapes from warmer regions add a fuller-bodied, ripe character. The wine offers vanilla aromatics from oak aging, along with a floral perfume from the fruit. It presents ripe fruit flavours, balanced acidity, and a rich mid-palate weight, resulting in a complex, multi-layered wine with a lingering finish."
