Astrolabe Marlborough Rose 2022

$13.99

ASTROLABE ROSÉ AT $11.99? YES, REALLY!

93/100 'Excellent' | Cameron Douglas MS - "Delicate and finely tuned wine with a backbone of acidity and texture... best from late 2025 through 2028"

Our team has tasted this wine, and we can confidently say there's no way you'd guess it was a 2022 release. It's drinking an absolute treat, and at this price, we're pretty excited about it!

This is a big deal. Widely regarded as one of New Zealand's finest wine producers, Astrolabe has built an outstanding reputation for crafting consistently exceptional wines. Seeing the Astrolabe name on a bottle now available for well under the $15 barrier is certainly something we didn't have on our bingo card for 2026, but here we are!

We've managed to secure a cracking BIN END SUPERDEAL on their Marlborough Rosé, bringing the price down to an almost unbelievable $11.99 a bottle! This is seriously good buying from a producer of this calibre, and exactly the sort of deal we love bringing to the Advintage Faithful. Made from 74% pinot noir and 26% pinot gris grapes, this is a deliciously fleshy, juicy, rosé that finishes dry with a mineral tinge.

With summer just around the corner, this couldn't have come at a better time. Stocks are strictly limited. Secure your share while you can.

Tasting Notes

Cameron Douglas MS writes "A fragrant and fine bouquet with scents of raspberry and cherry, there’s a mix of mineral and sea air, a distinctive leesy quality and pure fruit freshness. On the palate a dry wine with core fruit flavours reflecting the bouquet, a delicate and finely tuned wine with a backbone of acidity and texture from fine tannins accentuated by a saline and soil quality. Best from late 2025 through 2028. A excellent food wine option."

Winemaker Simon Waghorn writes "Our Marlborough Rosé is a blend from across Marlborough. It is 42% from the Waihopai Valley, 41% from the mid-South Awatere Valley and 16% from lower Dashwood. I have used 74% Pinot noir and 26% Pinot gris. The Marlborough Rosé was pressed off its skins immediately on arrvival to the winery. This is a dry wine with less than one gram per litre of sugar. I’m aiming for a stylish, fresh and dry-style rosé."
