Paritua Syrah 2024

Bright, expressive and vibrant bouquet of Syrah with an immediate burst of dark cherry, blackberry compote, and a hint of fresh violets. Subtle undertones of cracked black pepper, clove, and a touch of cured meat add complexity. The nose also reveals nuances of charred oak and baking spices. On the palate, the wine is energetic and youthful, with a taut acid line supporting concentrated fruit. Firm, grippy tannins frame the mid-palate, while well-integrated oak provides structure and length. A wine that promises great potential with time in bottle.
David Walker Bell writes "The aroma is jam-packed with complex notes of plum, root beer, cranberry, star anise, cherry and that signature floral top note of violets that I saw throughout the tasting. The palate has just as much going on – where a savoury, autumn-leaf element gives contrast to that lush fruit flavour. A bristling line of acidity keeps the palate light on its feet, and both chalky tannin and toasty oak add weight and structure."
