Laphroaig was founded in 1815 by the Johnston brothers, and has a rich Islay history including two centuries of neighbourly war with Lagavulin. This 10 year old expression is Laphroaig's signature single malt and a benchmark for a heavily peated, medicinal Islay Whisky. It is gorgeous sparkling gold, with that signature rich smoke and seaweed character. The palate is surprisingly rich with subtle sweetness and complex layers of salt and peatiness that evolve on the palate and continue to the long and dry finish.

Tasting Notes

Full bodied, huge smoke, seaweedy, "medicinal", with a hint of sweetness. Palate throughout has subtle sweetness, hints of salt and layers of peatiness. Lingering finish.

Rural surcharge of $4.99 per case of 12 (or part case).

Hastings & Napier URBAN areas
$6.99 per case of 12 (or part case).

Spend $450 or more in a single order, and freight drops to $4.99 per dozen (rural surcharges still apply). This does not apply to Outer NZ Deliveries listed below.

Outer Islands (Waiheke Island, Stewart Island etc) 
Freight is $49.99 per case of 12 (or part case).
N.B. Deliveries to Great Barrier Island must be collected from the wharf (No deliveries to individual addresses)

As long as we receive your order before 2.00pm, in most cases your order will be delivered in one - two days if you live in mainland non-rural North Island. Friday orders will be delivered the following Monday. Rural or South Island deliveries take a day or two longer.
