Herdade Aldeia de Cima Reserva Red 2021 comes from Vidigueira in southern Alentejo, made by Luísa Amorim and Francisco Rêgo, who are focused on making wines with character, freshness, and plenty of personality. Rather than chasing power, the idea here is to bring out the best of local grapes and let the wine feel expressive and easy to enjoy with food.

The blend is led by alicante bouschet, a bit of a signature grape in Alentejo. It’s one of the few grapes with red flesh as well as skin, which gives the wine its deep colour and bold dark fruit flavour. A mix of cement and oak is used in ageing to keep things balanced, just enough spice and structure, but still letting the fruit shine. The result is a rich, juicy red with black fruit, a touch of spice, and a fresh edge that keeps it from feeling heavy. Great with grilled meats, roast lamb, or a big sharing table.

As long as we receive your order before 2.00pm, in most cases your order will be delivered in one - two days if you live in mainland non-rural North Island. Friday orders will be delivered the following Monday. Rural or South Island deliveries take a day or two longer.
