Tasting Notes

Lashings of fruit sweetness at first but allied with a well-judged acid backbone. A seamless and complete ruby port that represents a perfect introduction to fortified wine.
Raymond Chan writes "Aged in cask on average 3 years, 19.0% alc. Dark ruby-red colour, the nose shows fresh, vibrant, ripe black and red fruit aromas with good depth and richness. Sweet to taste, soft dark red berry fruits are the feature, the ripeness and lush richness balanced with clean alcohol cut and underlined by very restrained tannins. This has good freshness and vitality, the acidity discreet, but the richness and sweetness remains prevalent. The wine finishes with a slightly drying, textured finish. This is a ripe, richly fruited Ruby with good freshness."

Freight is $49.99 per case of 12 (or part case).
N.B. Deliveries to Great Barrier Island must be collected from the wharf (No deliveries to individual addresses)

As long as we receive your order before 2.00pm, in most cases your order will be delivered in one - two days if you live in mainland non-rural North Island. Friday orders will be delivered the following Monday. Rural or South Island deliveries take a day or two longer.
