Sourced from old vines, the palate is creamy and plush, with concentrated flavours of baked apple and ripe pear layered with gentle spice and floral notes. Time in bottle has added richness and complexity, leading to a smooth, lingering finish. A fine, expressive example of the varietal.

Cameron Douglas writes "Very fragrant, varietal, fruity, herbaceous, spicy and enticing. Aromas and flavours of white and yellow fruits, botanicals and citrus peel. There’s a lot of texture on the palate with the alcohol adding warmth, but also emphasising the phenolics. Medium+ish acidity with a core of fruit flavours reflecting the bouquet. A thoroughly interesting wine best suited to richly flavoured foods. Drinking best from 2023 through 2025."
The winery writes "It is a rich wine, with fantastic aromatics and a weighty texture. The bouquet is full of tropical fruit, particularly lychee."

As long as we receive your order before 2.00pm, in most cases your order will be delivered in one - two days if you live in mainland non-rural North Island. Friday orders will be delivered the following Monday. Rural or South Island deliveries take a day or two longer.
