93/100 'Excellent' | Cameron Douglas MS
90/100 | Stephen Wong MW, The Real Review

There's no doubt that Neudorf features in any conversation of NZ's finest producers and their wines consistently receive high praise from top international critics. Tiritiri is pitched at a more accessible price point than their other releases and it's an outstanding entry-level wine.

This pinot gris was allowed to undergo wild fermentation which brings an element of complexity to the palate. This wine is all about mouthfeel - it’s got depth, viscosity and richness, whilst still remaining fresh and vibrant. Its fresh and fruit bouquet makes it the perfect wine choice for 'hard to match dishes' and will really bring to life the zingy flavours of coriander, lime and chilli in Asian cuisine. Simply delicious - we can't get enough.

Tasting Notes

Cameron Douglas MS writes "An enticing boquuet of pear skin and fresh red apple, and Asian pear (nashi). There’s a natural white spice, almost pepper-like scent and a distinctive mineral quality. Satin smooth texture on the palate, juicy fleshy, ripe and delicious. Medium+ (ish) weighted and lengthy on the finish. The texture and mouthfeel are part of the enticement on the palate a super fine fruit tannins mouthfeel adding to the satin touch. Delicious and ready to drink."
Stephen Wong MW writes "A gently savoury style with warm, earthy, saline aromas, subtle pear blossom and dried herbs. The palate is light and off-dry with softly chewy phenolics on the finish. The crunchy Nashi pear fruit is trimmed in very subtle smoky complexity and a hint of woody pear emerges at the end. A touch more grown-up than your typical crowd-pleaser without being too demanding. Well-judged, carefully made, and designed for immediate pleasure."
