At Advintage we have never been enamoured with orange wines, but this delicious release from Valli has made us eat our words. Dry and savoury and lightly tannic, this wine clearly plays at the orange end of the scale but the palate has lovely fresh fruit characters to balance the equation. A striking, thought provoking wine that will go brilliantly with a diverse range of foods.

Jen Parr writes "“The colour of the wine comes from the grape skins and the semi-oxidative handling. This vintagehas a pale peach hue. There are immediately inviting aromas of apricot, peach, lychee and orangepeel, with wild sage and white blossom. The palate shows flavours of stone fruit, tangy citrus, andsubtle spice. The mouthfeel is precise and silky with a lovely volume of fine tannin and lingeringacidity. Delicious on its own, the Real McCoy shines brightest when paired with a wide array ofdishes. We have discovered this is a great wine for cellaring as the evolution is slow and the winecontinues to improve with time. I will keep bottles of this vintage in my personal cellar for 15+years.”

N.B. Deliveries to Great Barrier Island must be collected from the wharf (No deliveries to individual addresses)

As long as we receive your order before 2.00pm, in most cases your order will be delivered in one - two days if you live in mainland non-rural North Island. Friday orders will be delivered the following Monday. Rural or South Island deliveries take a day or two longer.
