A new interpretation of a classic. Matawhero winemaking legend Dennis Irwin pioneered the first plantings of gewürztraminer in New Zealand, and we're loving this latest vintage of a famous Gisborne wine.

Now produced by Richard and Kirsten Searle, this is lush and concentrated gewürz with layers of spicy, exotic fruit flavours and classic Turkish Delight complexity. The sheer joy and exuberance of a good glass of gewürztraminer cannot be denied and this new release comes highly recommended. Enjoy on its own in the sun or with lightly spicy foods.

Tasting Notes

The wine opens with sweet jasmine on the nose, complemented by aromas of lychee and delicate honeysuckle. On the palate, it shows a clean, fruit-driven character that is rich and full-bodied. Flavours of lychee, Turkish delight, gentle spice and a hint of ginger unfold in layers, creating a broad and persistent finish.

Hastings & Napier URBAN areas
$6.99 per case of 12 (or part case).

Spend $450 or more in a single order, and freight drops to $4.99 per dozen (rural surcharges still apply). This does not apply to Outer NZ Deliveries listed below.

Outer Islands (Waiheke Island, Stewart Island etc) 
Freight is $49.99 per case of 12 (or part case).
N.B. Deliveries to Great Barrier Island must be collected from the wharf (No deliveries to individual addresses)

As long as we receive your order before 2.00pm, in most cases your order will be delivered in one - two days if you live in mainland non-rural North Island. Friday orders will be delivered the following Monday. Rural or South Island deliveries take a day or two longer.
