Tasting Notes

Cameron Douglas MS writes "Very youthful, fresh, bright and lifted bouquet. Aromas and flavours of baked apple and white peach, there’s a decent back bone of acidity here accentuating the use of lees adding to the mouthfeel and richness on the palate. Plenty of weight and purity of fruit on display. A wine that will work as an aperitif style or with starter dishes, leading us and you nicely into summer 2025, and beyond. Best drinking from day of purchase through 2029+."
Cameron Douglas MS writes "A gorgeous rendition of the variety, the fragrant bouquet shows Gala apple, pineapple, melon and lemon peel aromas, followed by a succulent palate that's bright and lively. Beautifully textured and elegantly structured, it's superbly long on the finish with delectable flavours. At its best: now to 2031."
David Walker Bell, Wine Folio writes "A single vineyard wine from the Gisborne region, winning a coveted Gold Medal at the New Zealand International Wine Show last year. A vibrant green-straw colour in the glass. The perfume is beautifully varietal – more in a stonefruit spectrum, alongside the typical apple and citrus; then ginger, white pepper, and a white flowers top note. A briney acidity is contrasted by the silky texture, the palate quite generous and textural. Layers of spice, crushed-shell minerals, and honey emerge as the glass evolves and expands. The finish is dry, well-balanced and refreshing."
