A beautifully crafted Cream-style sherry with serious pedigree.

Lustau’s East India is a rich, velvety sweet sherry that blends 12-year-old dry Oloroso with 12-year-old PX, coming in at around 120g/l residual sugar. That makes it technically a Cream sherry, but this is a far cry from anything you’ll find gathering dust in Nana’s cupboard.

Dark mahogany in colour, it’s bursting with intense notes of raisins, prunes, dates and toffee, and has that classic nutty, oxidative edge that comes from extended solera ageing. It’s lush and unashamedly rich, but with plenty of structure and length to keep things fresh. Perfect with cheese at the end of a meal, but also magic with chocolate biscuits, crème brûlée or tiramisu. Serve slightly chilled and prepare to be converted.

The distributor writes "Dark mahogany in colour with green-amber edge. It offers vibrant notes of maple syrup, brown sugar, shoe polish, raisin and chocolate beer nuts, all very well integrated. On the palate it is smooth and rich at the beginning, full of prune and burned oranges peel flavours. Provocative spicy notes appear just before its nuttiness and terrific acidity cuts through the sweetness. A truly unforgettable finish."

As long as we receive your order before 2.00pm, in most cases your order will be delivered in one - two days if you live in mainland non-rural North Island. Friday orders will be delivered the following Monday. Rural or South Island deliveries take a day or two longer.
