Ignis Fatuus is Latin for “foolish flame” and refers to a fey light that can sometimes be seen rising from swamp or over wetlands. Usually the result of the combustion of gas triggered by decaying plant matter, for some, it represents a fairy, ghost or elemental spirit – something to be feared, or perhaps heralding a folly or impossible hope.

Crafted with 10 botanicals, including juniper, kauri gum, black cardamom and citrus, this premium New Zealand sipping gin pays homage to the country's pioneers and has a deep, symbolic connection to its history. For Hasting's Distillers, this was the perfectname for this limited-edition gin. It represents several elements coming together to create something unique – the vapour rising from the still, the unequivocal lifted notes that come from the use of kauri gum, the aroma of New Zealand native forest.

A change to the licencing laws means we can no longer advertise discounts on our website that show savings of 25% or more off the recommended retail product price. Products on this site will still be as sharply priced as they have always been. We simply can no longer tell you when savings of over 25% are on offer. North Island and South Island
$9.99 per case of 12 (or part case).
Rural surcharge of $4.99 per case of 12 (or part case).

Hastings & Napier URBAN areas
$6.99 per case of 12 (or part case).

Spend $450 or more in a single order, and freight drops to $4.99 per dozen (rural surcharges still apply). This does not apply to Outer NZ Deliveries listed below.

Outer Islands (Waiheke Island, Stewart Island etc) 
Freight is $49.99 per case of 12 (or part case).
N.B. Deliveries to Great Barrier Island must be collected from the wharf (No deliveries to individual addresses)

As long as we receive your order before 2.00pm, in most cases your order will be delivered in one - two days if you live in mainland non-rural North Island. Friday orders will be delivered the following Monday. Rural or South Island deliveries take a day or two longer.
