If you're a fan of powerhouse Californian Chardonnay this excellent Diora release will have you smiling from ear to ear. Vinted from Monterey fruit and 100% barrel fermented in French oak, this impressive, premium release has all the weight and creamy texture you expect from USA Chardonnay but brings so much more to the party. The traditional toasty oak and sizzled butter characters are there in abundance but the mid palate explodes with layers of tangy stonefruit flavours and the wine finishes with a beautifully balanced vein of fresh acidity that so many of its peers lack. Boom! 

Of all the Californian Chardonnays we have tried in recent years, this is head and shoulders our new favourite.

Winemaker James Ewart writes "This Chardonnay has a beautiful, golden hue with aromas of apples that mingle with toasted oak and hints of peach cobbler, coconut and pineapple. The delicate flavours of crème brûlée and vanilla bean give way to lovely notes of key lime, white peach and butterscotch in a medium-bodied mouthfeel."
Sam Kim, Wine Orbit writes "Immensely complex and engaging, the wine shows mango, cedary oak, French vanilla, sweet pastry and subtle toffee notes on the nose, followed by a concentrated palate offering fleshy texture and beautifully melded acidity. It's multi-layered and expansive with an impressively long satisfying finish."

As long as we receive your order before 2.00pm, in most cases your order will be delivered in one - two days if you live in mainland non-rural North Island. Friday orders will be delivered the following Monday. Rural or South Island deliveries take a day or two longer.
