Our team are well-known fans of good Australian Grenache, so we were thrilled when this absolute gem made it onto our tasting table. Beautifully presented in gorgeous heritage-style squat bottles, this is a red that ticks all the boxes.

Generous, smooth and packed with delicious fruit flavour, it showcases everything we love about Australian Grenache. It's a variety we often describe as tasting like good Kiwi Pinot Noir blended with the power and weight of Aussie Shiraz – and this Little Giant is a brilliant example of why we're such big fans.

Expect a lovely mouthful of ripe red berries, juicy cherries and sweet spice, with soft, supple tannins and a wonderfully smooth finish. There's plenty of richness and generosity here, but without the heaviness of some bigger Australian reds. It's beautifully balanced, seriously approachable and the kind of wine that makes you wonder why you don't drink more Grenache.

Sam Kim, Wine Orbit writes "Beautifully fruited and fragrant, the bouquet shows ripe plum, wild strawberry, mixed spice, and floral aromas. The palate offers silky flow and fleshy texture, splendidly framed by beautifully melded tannins, finishing persistent and velvety."

Ken Gargett writes "A crimson/raspberry hue, the nose reveals aromas of spices, red fruits, strawberries and cherries, herbs and aniseed."

The winery writes "The Little Giant Grenache is a wine that keeps on giving. A full bodied wine that has ample weight with ripe fruited intensity yet still feels fresh. Expressive red and dark berry fruit underpinned by hints of chocolate and subtle oak. The palate delivers soft tannins and ensures a lasting concentration of berry fruit vanilla and ground spices. Perfect with lamb shoulder and spicy cous cous."

As long as we receive your order before 2.00pm, in most cases your order will be delivered in one - two days if you live in mainland non-rural North Island. Friday orders will be delivered the following Monday. Rural or South Island deliveries take a day or two longer.
