For as long as we can remember, we’ve been huge fans of the Tietjen Witters Chardonnay range, and their Reserve Chardonnay is a traditional Gisborne showstopper. This is the sort of Chardonnay that doesn’t shy away from flavour – rich, generous and beautifully rounded, with all those classic buttery characters that lovers of the style are looking for.

Ripe peach, nectarine and citrus provide plenty of fruit weight, while creamy, buttery notes and well-judged toasty oak add another layer of richness. There’s real depth through the middle of the palate, with a smooth, luscious texture balanced by enough freshness to keep everything lively and stop the wine becoming too heavy.

It’s a cracking match with roast chicken, creamy seafood dishes or a good piece of grilled fish, but equally satisfying poured generously on its own. Classic Gisborne Chardonnay with plenty of weight, warmth and personality – an out-and-out winner.

The winery writes "Gleaming gold, this Chardonnay is the selection of only the very best barrels from the wonderful 2024season. Early summer scents of citrus blossom and fresh lemon curd are enriched with macadamia and vanilla from careful oak selection. The palate is rich and sleek, with exceptional texture and elegant acidity. Flavours of golden Nectarine syrup and lemon cream sprinkled with toasted macadamia linger on the tongue. The finish is rich and seamless, balanced with delicate acidity."

N.B. Deliveries to Great Barrier Island must be collected from the wharf (No deliveries to individual addresses)

As long as we receive your order before 2.00pm, in most cases your order will be delivered in one - two days if you live in mainland non-rural North Island. Friday orders will be delivered the following Monday. Rural or South Island deliveries take a day or two longer.
