Tasting Notes

The winery writes "Bright garnet in colour the wine opens with spice and savoury characters, which are the hallmark of Martinborough Pinot Noir. This is an elegantexpression with red fruit accents, reminiscent of fresh summer berries. There is also an autumnal feel to the wine, with turned earth, sumac anddark chocolate. The palate is taught and juicy, with forest floor and moreof the savoury nuances coming through. It is crunchie and fresh, with avibrancy and softness that is carried by silky tannin. This is a wine that iscreated with early drinking in mind but will reward with a few years in thecellar."
Cameron Douglas MS writes "I am immediately seduced by the natural scents of this wine with a core of site with a clay stone-like suggestion, wild red strawberry and flowers, cherry and barrel spice and gentle wood smoke. A dry wine led by textures from fine tannins and decent acid line, there’s length and mouthfeel throughout the palate then core flavours of light red berry fruits and spice. A fine savoury seam lingers adding length and style. Well made and ready to drink from day f purchase through 2030+."
Candice Chow writes "For this vintage, the majority of the fruit came from Te Muna Road, penetrating lifted nuances of red fruit and haunting floral notes, alongside broody herbs and silky tannins, elegantly framing the season."
