As the winery writes, "Barebone is the opportunity to produce a stripped back chardonnay style that showcases the fruit from our site while still being rich in subtle complexities", and that's exactly what this lightly oaked Waipara Chardonnay delivers. Flavours of lemon curd and malt biscuits are perfectly balanced by pure acidity and mineral complexity, and the lasting impression is very balanced with a lovely mouthfeel that just goes on and on.

Stephen Wong MW writes "Tight, green apple with a hint of barely-ripe peach and mushroom. This is a light-weight dry and chalky style which finishes with a neat phenolic bite. The palate is fuzzy with white peach, talc and floral notes. Quite restrained with a cool edginess."
Cameron Douglas MS writes "A lovely bouquet of white fleshed fruits and citrus sitting nicely alongside scents of wood, wood smoke and spice. Clean, fresh, youthful. Youthful, taut and dry on the palate, medium+ weighted with the acid line demanding attention first, then as the palate adjusts the flavours of apple and citrus emerge, pear and grapefruit, white peach and wood spice flavours. On the third and fourth sip the lees flavours and textures begin to emerge."

Freight is $49.99 per case of 12 (or part case).
N.B. Deliveries to Great Barrier Island must be collected from the wharf (No deliveries to individual addresses)

As long as we receive your order before 2.00pm, in most cases your order will be delivered in one - two days if you live in mainland non-rural North Island. Friday orders will be delivered the following Monday. Rural or South Island deliveries take a day or two longer.
