For over 90 years, Selaks has honoured the vision of Croatian-born founder Marino Selak - to craft wines worth gathering for. Today, winemaker Kate Curd continues that legacy with the Selaks Founders range, a limited-edition collection that capture the best of each vintage with precision, passion, and tradition.

Sourced from the Selaks Corner 50 Vineyard Estate, this deep red Merlot was wild-fermented, barrel-aged for eight months, and completed 100% malolactic fermentation for a plush, rounded texture. Aromas of bright blackcurrant and fresh leather open to succulent dark plum, rich mocha, toasted nuts, and delicate floral notes. Silky tannins frame a beautifully balanced, elegant finish.

Sam Kim, Wine Orbit writes "Beautifully fruited and inviting, the bouquet shows Black Doris plum, blueberry, floral, olive, andhazelnut aromas, followed by a beautifully rounded palate that's juicy and silky. It's elegant and stylish with a fine flow, finishing long and pleasingly dry. At its best: 2026 to 2032."

Freight is $49.99 per case of 12 (or part case).
N.B. Deliveries to Great Barrier Island must be collected from the wharf (No deliveries to individual addresses)

As long as we receive your order before 2.00pm, in most cases your order will be delivered in one - two days if you live in mainland non-rural North Island. Friday orders will be delivered the following Monday. Rural or South Island deliveries take a day or two longer.
