93/100 | Aaron Brasher, The Real Review

The Holy Trinity is modelled on the wines of the southern Rhone in France, where traditionally varieties such as Grenache, Shiraz and Mourvedre are blended. The fruit for this wine is 100% Barossan, handpicked from old, dry-grown vines which range from 50 to 120 years old. It's a gloriously plush wine with a silky palate that's full of juicy, savoury richness. It's very highly regarded in Barossa wine circles. One sip and you'll know this really is the Holy Trinity.

Tasting Notes

Aaron Brasher writes "Really youthful and bright in the glass. Dark fruited aromas of stewed plum, mulberry, pudding spice, bramble and dark chocolate. Rich, round, mouth-filling and juicy. There's lashings of dark fruit flavour, along with sweet, nutty oak, liqueur chocolate and a ferrous earthiness. The tannins are firm and shapely and the acidity has lovely life and lift. There's real drinkability here."
The distributor writes "Ruby Red colour. Awash with ripe plums, Christmas pudding and liqueur cherries with sweet spices and a hint of some more savoury, earthy notes that add to the complexity. Rich and juicy with vibrant flavours of fresh plums and berries, chai tea and fruitcake, with fine tannins that run the length of the palate. The dense, mouth-filling mid palate and long, textural finish combine to create a wine that is rich and elegant, sweet and savoury."
