Calmel & Joseph have a fast growing reputation for producing quality wines from the heart of the Languedoc-Roussillon region.  This 2024 chardonnay displays all the hallmark qualities of good southern French Chardonnay - offering freshness and elegance in a well-rounded, medium-bodied palate that brims with creamy mouthfeel. It was a smash hit with The Advintage Chardonnay Faithful when we promoted it last year, and we expect it to be just as popular this time around.

The grapes for this wine were harvested in two separate batches - the first with the aim of retaining freshness, and the second two weeks later to maximise richness and concentration. 30% of the wine was matured in oak barrels for three months, and the result is a chardonnay with the creaminess, richness and weight that we all know and love. Enjoy now or add to your cellar collection to open over the coming 5+ years.

Tasting Notes

The winery writes "Well balanced aromas in notes of white flowers, mango, vine peach, and star anise, finishing on vanilla, coconut milk and gingerbread. The mouth is clean-cut, fresh and full, with stone fruit such as apricot or peach followed by acacia flowers, peppermint, fresh pineapple, grilled almonds, honey and butter, and a long creamy finish. Very moreish with the minerality that is characteristic of this wine."

Freight is $49.99 per case of 12 (or part case).
N.B. Deliveries to Great Barrier Island must be collected from the wharf (No deliveries to individual addresses)

As long as we receive your order before 2.00pm, in most cases your order will be delivered in one - two days if you live in mainland non-rural North Island. Friday orders will be delivered the following Monday. Rural or South Island deliveries take a day or two longer.
