Cameron Douglas MS writes "This is a lovely example of GV from the Esk Valley in Hawkes Bay with a bouquet that needs a little time to open up and find the right ambient temperature - for me probably 13 Celsius. Aromas and flavours of pomaceous fruits, a touch of pineapple then delicate dried herb, and white pepper. These ideas follow through onto the palate with a decent acid line and freshness, then flavours that repeat. Dry, balanced and well made with best drinking from day of purchase through 2030."

The winery writes "Perfumed orange blossom notes mingle with fresh rock melon and white fleshed nectarine. A generous and silk textured palate supported by a long dry finish, fresh acidity and a gentle warm white pepper spice."
