GOLD MEDAL | Decanter 2021
93/100 'Excellent' | Cameron Douglas MS
91/100 | Bob Campbell MW
An absolute classic and seriously impressive. Silky smooth palate and a long spicy finish with serious complexity and an abundance of berry fruits. A great example of one of the best Central Otago Pinot Noirs. Excellent value, drinking fantastically well now and will develop and cellar for several years.

Bob Campbell MW "Appealing, aromatic Pinot Noir, with almost lush plum and berry fruit flavours together with spice, anise and a suggestion of fresh herbs. Fine, peppery tannins give the wine a gentle backbone."
Cameron Douglas MS writes "A youthful core aroma of red cherry and wild berries followed by a crushed stone mineral quality and fine toasty barrel spice highlights. Even more youthful on the palate, a wine with time on its side but not without a decent combination of texture and core fruit flavours. Firm tannins and medium+ acid line, lighter weighted with a fine savoury complexity and decent length."
The winery writes "Ripe hand picked fruit, gentle winemaking and maturation in French oak have resulted in a complex and powerful wine, with aromas of dark cherry and chocolate, with a rich and silky smooth palate and a long spicy finish. A great example of one of the best Central Otago Pinot Noirs. Excellent value, drinking fantastically well now and will develop and cellar for several years."
