93/100 | Candice Chow, Raymond Chan Wine Reviews
4.5 STARS | Michael Cooper
Dry to taste and with layers of tropical fruits on the palate, this is a serious viognier. The natural opulence of this variety has been handled with restraint in the winery, with its fulsome palate weight balanced by some flinty, reductive characters. This would be a brilliant aperitif wine or pair with Asian cuisine to really see it hit its straps.

Michael Cooper writes "The fresh, full-bodied 2022 vintage (4.5*) was estate-grown and hand-picked at Pakipaki, south-west of Hastings and Havelock North. Pale lemon in hue, it has strong, peachy, slightly mealy, gently oaked flavours, fresh acidity, and a dry, lively, finely balanced finish."
The winery writes "Bright, light golden colour with some depth, a little paler on the rim. The nose is reserved in expression, with a concentrated core of lemon curd and stonefruits. Dry to taste and medium-full bodied, restrained flavours of white flesh stonefruits as well as musk and lemon curd. The mouthfeel is mellow with soft acidity and rounded textures, underlined by a fine phenolic thread."
