Domaine Rewa was born as an amalgamation of passions for esteemed pottery maker, Yannick, and wife Phillipa. Over the past decade, Domaine Rewa has undergone fine-tuning to developed unique techniques that creates the best possible wines to reflect the pristine vineyards. We fell in love with these wines when we tried them, and we know you'll love them too.
The 2022 pinot gris was fermented and aged in a mix of 50% mixed-age oak barrels and two clay amphorae, courtesy of Yannick and his pottery expertise. A further yeast lees contact of 6 months was added to the winemaking mix too. The result is spicy yet refreshing pinot gris with immense complexity complete with a wax-seal. A must try.

Cameron Douglas MS writes "Aromatic, sound, lifted aromatics apple and white spice, pear and white fleshed stone fruits. Youthful, expressive and inviting bouquet overall. Textured, fruity, developing, dry, flavours of pears and apple, some white fleshed fruits and lees spices, medium+ weighted with a satin texture, balanced acid line and lengthy finish."
Candice Chow, Raymond Chan Wine Reviews writes "Bright, medium straw-yellow with an onion skin hue, even colour throughout. It has a rich bouquet with aromas of quince, ripe pear, ginger, honeysuckle and a hint of mineral. Medium-bodied, dry to taste, aromas of quince, pear, melded ginger, hay and minerals, unfolding honeysuckle on the finish. The fruit is elegant and fresh with excellent brightness and energy; a phenolic grip contributes a grip and savoury elements. This partially skin-fermented Pinot Gris possesses expressive, bright fruit and spice with a savoury, textural layer of complexity."
