Domaine Rewa was born as an amalgamation of passions for esteemed pottery maker, Yannick, and wife Phillipa. Over the past decade, Domaine Rewa has undergone fine-tuning to developed unique techniques that creates the best possible wines to reflect the pristine vineyards. We fell in love with these wines when we tried them, and we know you'll love them too.
The 2023 pinot gris was fermented and aged in a mix of 50% mixed-age oak barrels and two clay amphorae, courtesy of Yannick and his pottery expertise. A further yeast lees contact of 6 months was added to the winemaking mix too. The result is spicy yet refreshing pinot gris with immense complexity complete with a wax-seal. A must try.

Cameron Douglas MS writes "Golden hues and plenty of brightness lead to a bouquet of ripe pomaceous fruits, some delicate spice and finer wood tones, a touch of barrel ferment and lees complexities lead to a plate of the same. Smooth textures with medium acidity and spice. Satin mouthfeel and some very fine phenolic impacts emerge as the wine opens out in glass. Balanced, well made and ready to drink from day of purchase through 2027."
Candice Chow, Raymond Chan Wine Reviews writes "Bright, even, pale straw yellow with a light orange hue. The nose is gentle, with aromas of stonefruit, pear, apple, honey, fennel and hay. Medium-full bodied, aromas of peach and pear entwined with grapefruit, honey, ginger, fennel and flint. The creamy entry embraces red-tea-like phenolics, providing texture and a silky mouthfeel. The fruit is ripe and sweet, layering herb, tea, spice and smoky flint, packed with interest. This Pinot Gris is intriguing, with complex layers, a creamy, chewy texture and a graceful finish. Match with confit duck leg and scotch eggs over the next 5 years."
The winery writes "Rose gold with copper hues. The nose shows baked pear, citrus, peach and a hint of caramel. The palate is dry with sweet peach, nashi pear, spice, ginger, lemon curd, quince and brioche. Full bodied and complex, rich and concentrated with fine textural tannin and a long toffee, mineral finish."
