FIVE STARS 93/100 | Sam Kim, Wine Orbit
Askerne are well known for their prowess with the gewurztraminer grape and this lovely sweet wine does nothing but build on that reputation. This is a lush and moreish dessert wine at a great price point. The palate has some lovely spiced fruit characters. Recommended.

Sam Kim, Wine Orbit writes "Upfront and splendidly appealing, the fragrant bouquet shows dried apricot, marmalade and lemon sorbet characters with a lovely spicy overtone. It’s beautifully ripe and wonderfully textured with delicious sweetness backed by refreshing acidity, making it highly enjoyable."
The winery writes "Honey and apricot characters on the nose combine with subtle quince and ripe orange aromas. Spice notes of vanilla and burnt caramel add interest. The palate is plush and viscous in part due to the degree of botrytis and the retained grape sugars. This is a decadent wine with wonderfully concentrated flavours that has great potential for aging."
