90/100 | Sam Kim, Wine Orbit - "Beautifully ripe and inviting"
Owner of Odyssey Wines, Rebecca Salmond, has an impressive track-record for making superb wines. Having undergone partial malolactic fermentation with only subtle adjustments to the wine, this single vineyard chardonnay shows creamy butterscotch characters with immense complexity and a bright, approachable colour. The classic regional peach and stone fruit flavours of Gisborne Chardonnay are always front and centre and supported on the palate with a lightly creamy texture and hints of oak spice.
While this is perfect to drink now, this wine can easily cellar for up to five years down the road.
