AN AMERICAN CHARDONNAY STAR
FIVE STARS 94/100 | Sam Kim, Wine Orbit
Growth in the American Chardonnay category continues with great pace, so we are always on the lookout for options that set new standards in the key $20 bracket. Clay Creek is undoubtedly one of those wines. It's a stunning wine; a layered and textural chardonnay with rich, creamy palate weight and rich flavours of baked stonefruits, creme brulee with some obvious notes of wood spice complexity. A tangy lick of citrus fruits and a seam of fresh acidity balances the equation but this is opulent, powerhouse chardonnay in the classic American style.
Outstanding value with the Advintage Advantage. A STAR IS BORN.

The winery writes "This Chardonnay is medium-bodied with complex structure and balanced acidity. Aromas of peach, ripe pear, vanilla and toasted hazlenut give way to flavours of honeydew, pineapple and graham cracker. The finish is rich and juicy."
