Named after the 13th century Galician troubadour, Bodegas Martín Códax is located in Rías Baixas wine region in the North-West of Spain. Albarino is the predominant grape variety in the region and is an up and coming alternate option for New Zealand white wine drinkers.
This medium bodied albariño is full of plush, bright citrus notes, and is fresh and well balanced with slight herbal and nutty touches, making it the perfect option for platters and light meals.

Rias Baixas, Spain - A medium to light-bodied white wine that is rich with peach and citrus fruits while the aromas tend to the floral and slightly nutty end of the spectrum. The wine has bright acidity and an easy-drinking quality.
The distributor writes "Martín Códax is made from grapes which come from exclusively selected plots in the “Salnés Valley” following a meticulous and thorough process to ensure the varietal’s purity and the traditional essence the wines that came from this valley have always had. Medium-high aromatic intensity with citrus notes such as lime and grapefruit. White pome fruits such as pear and apple. Fresh, crisp and well-balanced with floral hints. Pairing: seafood, fish, white meats, rice, cheese."
