CELLAR DOOR CLEARANCE DEAL - QUALITY, HAWKE'S BAY BUBBLES NOW $19.99.
THE FIRST SPARKLING ARNEIS IN NEW ZEALAND.
FIVE STARS 93/100 | Candice Chow, Raymond Chan Wine Reviews - "Shows purity and vibrance."
RECOMMENDED | Cameron Douglas MS - "Bright, fresh and fruity."
Nestled in the Ohiti Valley of Hawke's Bay, Kokako Farms is a boutique winery producing some of the finest wines in the region. Their cellar door was devastated by Cyclone Gabrielle in 2022. Since this was originally produced to be their summer cellar door pour but the rebuild is still in the pipeline, we've been offered a parcel of this gorgeous sparkling arneis to clear on their behalf.
Made from the native Italian grape varietal, arneis, Kokako Farms have nailed the style that New Zealand bubbly fans love. Naturally expressive and aromatic, arneis typically creates dry, delicate wines with excellent drinkability. This sparkling made by 100% Charmat method delivers just that - it's wonderfully fruit driven with flavours of white fleshed fruits, citrus and beautifully balanced acidity, making it the perfect celebratory bubbles. Delightful drinking.

Cameron Douglas MS writes "A bright, fresh, fruity and youthful intensity from the bouquet, scents of apples and pears, some gently riper citrus fruits and a floral high-note. Crisp, dry, a touch of fruit spice, white fleshed fruits and citrus flavours with a touch of pith. Medium bubble textures that burst quickly. Balanced and well made with an aperitif expression and nice to offer with sashimi or charcuterie platters."
Candice Chow, Raymond Chan Wine Reviews writes "Soft and delicate aromas of yellow and green apples, ripe pear, pear blossom, subtle yeasty autolysis and a hint of fennel seeds. This dry sparkling wine shows purity and vibrancy, supported by crisp acidity, lending a lingering, moreish finish."
The winery writes "This cuvée is fresh and lively, with aromas of citrus blossom, and hints of lemon grass."
