The Loom is celebrated winemaker Rod McDonald's best of vintage Syrah from the coastal Te Awanga estate block.
It is a textbook premium Hawke’s Bay Syrah with violets and lifted pepper spice on the nose; plum, blueberry and earthiness with soft, supple tannins on the palate - all super concentrated with good depth of flavour. This plush wine is very good value - especially so given Rod's international reputation with syrah.

Tasting Notes
The winery writes "A typical Hawke’s Bay Syrah with violets, lifted spice and dried herbs on the nose. On the palate, it’s medium weight with great concentration and texture and a little tightness which promises a long life and gathering complexity. Dark plum, spice and earthy characters all layer across soft, supple tannin and balanced acidity."
